There kinda was a purpose for this trip to Tucson.

October 27, 2009

I tend to be a bit of a planner, to-do list creater, maybe just a lil’ bit OCD about a few things. I’m sure you didn’t know that already. HAH! Since I’ll be going to grad school in a city I’ve never been to before, I figured it might be good to go on a sight seeing adventure to prepare. I combined that idea with a birthday getaway (bingo at a classy casino) and suckered Jamie into going. That last part was the most important since her car is more reliable than mine. This is how the great adventure began.

First off, please forgive my beginner photoshop skills. They will improve.

As you may notice in the pictures above, there is an old, beautiful plaque. The bossman found this classy item at Goodwill. It hangs out in our building probably just to spite our own educational establishment. It’s a UofA plaque and I decided it should take a visit to its hometown. The bossman said that if anyone realized it was a priceless item worth more than $5, then I was supposed to sell. Sadly, that didn’t happen. Oh well, I’m pretty sure Mr.Plaque had a good time. Look at all the fun places he was able to revisit… a cathedral, the prayer bench, Euclid Ave., the flower arch, Miracle Mile and the Women’s Plaza at UofA. I don’t think Mr.Plaque could have possibly been any happier.

As soon as I get my stories organized in my mind… oooh boy. Please, please don’t let me forget to share the Food City experience.

I’m pretty sure that both Mr.Plaque and I would rust in the snow. So… thanks, but… no way!
